I just got back from an amazing weekend at Birmingham Tres Dias! It was "three days" full of rejuvenation, forgiveness and encouragement in Christ along side of tons of other women. Where do I even begin?
What did I gain from Tres Dias?
- Sisters who have walked roads before me that I might have to later... Im thankful for that community of devoted women.
- The knowledge that living a life in faith is uncomfortable, awkward, messy... but it totally worth it!
- Constant encouragement... It was like I could never quit smiling about what God was doing!
What does Jesus mean to me?
- A best friend and a Father that can never love me any more or less... His grace is enough!
I just cant even put into words my experience...I really cant! Ive thought about how I would write about it here on this blog because I want to share! It isnt a youth group event high... it is real refreshing peace in knowing that Jesus reigns then, now and forever more!
"It keeps getting better!"
This song below has now been declared my anthem! whew... its like I wrote this myself. crazy... Anyways, it made me think... How great is it that Jesus has already fought and won the battle for us?! We don't have to! There's no need for fear or worry... He has amazing plans with our names on it! So, when our lives get all messy, awkward, complicated, bitter, tough, dark... its ok! He loves us just the same. Im so thankful for His unconditional grace!

At twenty (two) years of age, I'm still looking for a dream
A war is already waged for my destiny
But You've already won the battle and you've got great plans for me
Though I can't always see 'cause...
I got a couple dents in my fender, Got a couple rips in my jeans
Try to fit the pieces together but perfection is my enemy
And on my own I'm so clumsy
But on Your shoulders I can see, I'm free to be me
When I was just a girl, I thought I had it figured out
See my life will turn out right and I'll make it here somehow
But things don't always come that easy and sometimes I would doubt
A war is already waged for my destiny
But You've already won the battle and you've got great plans for me
Though I can't always see 'cause...
I got a couple dents in my fender, Got a couple rips in my jeans
Try to fit the pieces together but perfection is my enemy
And on my own I'm so clumsy
But on Your shoulders I can see, I'm free to be me

When I was just a girl, I thought I had it figured out
See my life will turn out right and I'll make it here somehow
But things don't always come that easy and sometimes I would doubt
Sometimes I believe that I can do anything. Yet other times I think, I've got nothing good to bring but You look at my heart and you tell me that I've got all You seek and it's easy to believe, even though...
I got a couple dents in my fender. Got a couple rips in my jeans. Try to fit the pieces together but perfection is my enemy. And on my own I'm so clumsy but on Your shoulders I can see
I'm free to be me!
I'm free to be me!
